Three Bright Prospect students, Laila Alvarez (Pomona High School, Class of 2014), Jacklyn Ang (Pomona High School, Class of 2013) and Stephanie Pinedo (Fremont Academy for Engineering and Design, Class of 2014) have been selected to receive Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Awards. “King Kids” as they are affectionately called, will receive cash awards and recognition for having devoted their time, energy and resources to social justice, community service and charitable work. Since the beginning of the youth social justice awards program in 1994, 109 teenagers have received recognition. Bright Prospect is very proud of Laila, Jacklyn and Stephanie.
