Bright Prospect hosted the last College Decision Day of the year on Thursday, May 2nd at Pomona High School with our largest class of seniors. The event was attended by Mayor Rothman and City Councilwoman Debra Martin, as well as community supporters from the Kiwanis Club, Fairplex, and University of La Verne. There were several moving testimonials. Jelitza Herrera said, “All of our parents go through so many struggles, they struggle every day for us and they never complain… treasure your parents.” She went on to tell the story about how she initially did not apply to the Bright Prospect Summer Academy, but an older friend who was in the program and had signed up to volunteer for the Summer Academy, talked to Tim and got her in.
